Jeff is a uniquely talented individual.  He views opportunities through a different lens than most and develops truly insightful solutions.  His colleagues and clients value his thought leadership and vision for the employee benefits industry.  He retains the highest respect from the voluntary benefits industry.

Richard (RAE) Egleston,  Area President, Gallagher Benefit Services

Jeff is a strategic, analytical, and technical thinker in building business plans and models that he implements into the business model, almost always successfully. He has a genuine passion and talent for leadership, consensus thinking, and, most importantly, zeroing in on the right goals and focusing on those goals until attained. An example of Jeff’s leadership and his ability to build a strong team around him occurred in 2009. Walmart, a $93 million per year account, left us 12/31/09. In an officers’ meeting, Jeff volunteered to review our national accounts book of business and made onsite visits to the 100 largest accounts. After Jeff’s review, he put together a very strategic plan that would rebuild national accounts. I promoted Jeff to oversee the second-largest revenue segment in the U.S. Jeff built a team that had record growth in 2010, 2011, and 2012. When Jeff left Aflac to join Willis as SVP, Jeff had groomed his replacement that provided a smooth transition.

I think Jeff would be a vital asset in a leadership role for a company that wants to grow, expand its business model, and look to get bigger, better, and stronger as a company.

Ron Agypt, Retired Chief Sales Officer at Hub International

Jeff and I have worked together for several years. He knows as much about the distribution of insurance products as anyone I’ve met. In addition to distribution expertise, Jeff’s knowledge of financial statements is impressive – he has a knack for numbers. Add a lot of common sense to the mix, and you have one of my “go-to” people in the industry.

Bill Edrington, SVP Tokio Marine HCC

I have had the pleasure to work with Jeff for many years and appreciate his level of professionalism, strong leadership, and out-of-the-box thinking. Jeff works and thinks as a consultant and is always looking for new ways to improve processes, solutions, and people. Along with his strong leadership and management skills, that has helped him create great teams with ongoing success.

Deedee Johnson, 2nd V.P. at Aflac

Jeff has been a key mentor and advisor in the development of my career. We have known each other for 10+ years and have been fortunate to have seen his wisdom and expertise positively impact many of our clients. His strategic approach is out of the box and disrupts the always status quo. I would encourage firms to engage Jeff on any project requiring a broad review of their current strategy, a clear road map of where the market is heading, and how to excel in an ever-changing environment.

John Byers, VP at Lockton

Jeff and I worked closely together as colleagues on the AFLAC corporate marketing executive team in 2011 and 2012. Since that time, we have continued to interact on a professional and personal level since we both pursued other opportunities in the insurance and technology fields. I consider Jeff one of the brightest minds in the entire insurance industry. Jeff has a high degree of knowledge at all levels of insurance, in addition to technologies related to the deployment and enrollment processes. Jeff has built a network of individuals in his field that includes C Suite executives at the top carriers and brokers in the U.S. He has terrific analytical, marketing, and consulting expertise and would be a valuable asset to anyone with needs in those areas. He possesses the highest level of integrity and work ethic, and I recommend him without reservation and with great personal respect and regard.

Bruce Phillips, Market VP at Aflac

Jeff Hyman and I worked for Ron Agypt on the original WWHQ “Aflac for Brokers” sales team in 2008 and 2009 as Market Vice Presidents. Jeff was responsible for 41 Broker Development Coordinators covering Maine to Texas. Our objective was to achieve $500M in five years or less.

Jeff brought to Aflac deep experience, specifically, ideas on how to strategically grow market share with Top 100 H&W agencies as well as Regional and Local firms. His background in large groups provided credibility and reassurance to brokers that Aflac products and services were evolving to serve their specific needs, including new G.I. group products and a broader selection of enrollment options. Jeff excelled in coaching his team and executing the changes he implemented in the field and internally. We hosted numerous Broker Advisory Councils and met with hundreds of brokers across the country. Soon after was promoted to a role that included leading the National Account sales team, which was responsible for resurrecting dormant accounts and selling jumbo employers. He excelled with his consultative sales approach by leveraging competitive intel, asking appropriate discovery questions to understand the group’s unique needs, and being well prepared. He was a great coach and mentor. Jeff was considered a trusted advisor by many of the CFO’s and H.R. Dir’s he met and was a strong contributor to our overall sales objectives. We continue to talk weekly, almost ten years after we worked together.

I reach out to Jeff for his perspective as he keeps well informed of advanced technologies, market trends, M&A’s, product redesigns, marketing campaigns, and innovative solutions. Two of his core strengths are crafting forward-looking sales strategies and analyzing the lead and lag indicators to gauge if the initiative is on track for success. His ability to approach problems from multiple points of view and to be able to leverage a variety of methodologies to provide a solution is exceptional.

I look forward to working with Jeff again in the future in some capacity.
